Expanding its reach into social media, the Bosch Service program now has a presence on Facebook and Twitter: www.Facebook.com/BoschServiceUS and www.Twitter.com/BoschServiceUS. The Bosch Service network includes Bosch authorized shops that have demonstrated they have specifically trained personnel, approved diagnostic and service equipment, good business practices, clean and comfortable facilities and more.

More than 1,500 independent repair shops throughout the United States and Canada and some 14,000 shops worldwide are now participating in this auto repair shop evaluation and certification program first developed by Bosch in 1921 and now celebrating its 90th year worldwide and 25th year in North America.

The new social media initiative on Facebook and Twitter will allow Bosch to offer ‘followers’ special discounts and other incentives through participating shops in the Bosch Service network. Most important, this new communications vehicle will help motorists easily locate an authorized Bosch Service shop that specializes in the specific make and model of their vehicle.

‘Followers’ on Facebook and Twitter will receive timely tips on maintenance and service of their vehicles.  They can also comment on the quality of service they’ve received at authorized Bosch Service centers, ask questions of other motorists and receive answers to technical and diagnostic questions from Bosch experts.

“We believe it is important to reach our customers through the media they use the most,” said Michael Lippman, Concept Manager for the Bosch Car Service network. “With the huge growth in the number of people using social media for their informational needs, it became apparent that we needed a strong presence there. We look forward to providing our growing network of motorists with interesting and entertaining messaging that will help them keep their vehicles running at their best,” he said.

According to Lippman, “Bosch is widely known as a leading supplier of engine management parts and systems to vehicle manufacturers and the replacement market, as well as a supplier of cutting-edge diagnostic tools and equipment for today’s complex vehicles.”

“We share our expertise with our Bosch Service partners through extensive training programs, both in the field and at our various training facilities. We are able to assure that service technicians in our Bosch Service-authorized shops are familiar with, and skilled in servicing the very latest in vehicle systems. Motorists can be confident that they will receive honest, capable, and professional service at any Bosch Service Center,” Lippman said.

Bosch is a proud supporter of the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association’s Know Your Parts education and awareness campaign.
