Georgetown Man Charged in Catalytic Converter Thefts

GEORGETOWN, Del.- Delaware State Police on Wednesday arrested a Georgetown man accused of stealing catalytic converters off of vehicles.

William M. Pusey, 31, is charged with eight counts of theft under $1,500 (misdemeanors), five counts of criminal mischief under $1,000 (misdemeanors) and third-degree criminal trespass (misdemeanor).

State police detectives were notified by the Seaford Police Department of a person of interest involved in recent catalytic converter thefts from vehicles located in the parking lots of several car dealerships, auto parts stores and various other parking lots.
 
Authorities say the Seaford Police Department received information from an area salvage yard after Pusey attempted to sell a quantity of catalytic converters.
