When it comes to creating better customers, there’s no question that education is the key. But who should be the teacher? Look no further than your mirror for a great instructor, and look no further than the Be Car Care Aware campaign for help.
As a shop owner, service advisor or technician you probably really know your stuff. The council’s guide, "How to Host a Successful Women’s Car Care Seminar," shows how to share this information with others. It’s available at no cost at www.carcare.org. Simply go to the Industry Section and click on Women’s Car Care Seminars in the block on the right.
Originally designed for women’s car care clinics, this seven-page guide can help you set up car care seminars for women, men and/or young drivers. It addresses what topics should be covered, when and where to hold the event, how to advertise it and how to write a press release to encourage press coverage. Although these classes create a number of positive results, the main idea is to produce better customers who are loyal to your shop.
The Car Care Council offers free resource materials to help market car care to your customers and potential customers. Log on www.carcare.org or call 240-333-1088 to see what good ideas are waiting to happen at your facility.
