Television public service announcements (PSA) highlighting the Car Care Council’s new Car Care Guide will air throughout the seasons of Two Guys Garage and Truck Universe on the SPEED Channel, beginning at the end of October.

“Our thanks to Kevin Judge and Brenton Productions for donating valuable airtime for the Car Care Guide PSA, as well as their ongoing support of the ‘Be Car Care Aware’ campaign,” said Rich White, executive director, Car Care Council. “This is the type of support that will increase awareness of the campaign and give us great momentum as we head into 2007.”

The Car Care Guide turns technical automotive jargon into easy-to-understand everyday language for motorists, taking the mystery out of vehicle maintenance and repair. The guide is now available to the independent aftermarket and may be ordered on the council’s website at www.carcare.org.

The 56-page guide fits easily in a glove box and explains the nine most common preventative maintenance procedures and repairs that need to be performed to keep cars operating safely and reliably, while maintaining their long-term value. It also includes a list of questions to ask when these maintenance or repair procedures are being performed on a car.

The Car Care Council is the source of information for the “Be Car Care Aware” campaign, educating consumers about the benefits of regular vehicle care, maintenance and repair. For more information about the campaign, visit www.carcare.org.
