BRAKE & FRONT END, November 1932 – During the 1930s, shops made roadside displays that would make some modern city councils cringe. Traffic fatalities were common due to the lack of safety systems and poorly maintained brakes. Most of the brake systems were operated by cables or rods and required adjustments every 2,000 to 3,000 miles.
