Beck/Arnley Named Supplier Member of Free-Cat.com

Beck/Arnley announces it was recently named a supplier member of Free-Cat.com; a standards-based, industry-owned parts look-up and utility database for counter people and professional service technicians to access the most up-to-date application data from participating manufacturers in a single search.

Free-Cat.com was created by several North American auto parts manufacturers that banded together to create a Web site to look-up all parts for all vehicles from leading suppliers. Since the information found on Free-Cat.com comes directly from the supplying companies who make the parts, it is more current and more accurate than the information typically found in other eCats used in the aftermarket.  Many of the participating suppliers update the information in Free-Cat daily and are founders leading the initiative with the intent to improve data access and quality in the aftermarket industry.

“Free-Cat.com is a strategic fit for Beck/Arnley because it allows us to distribute our data directly to our customers in a timely and accurate manner,” said Bob Anderson, vice president product management, Beck/Arnley. “We liked the fact that the Web-based syndication assures that any updates are in the market within hours or days, not weeks or months. We improve the business of our channel partners and customers.”
