The FRAM team is helping its repair shop customers attract and retain more business and build customer loyalty. The brand, as part of its FRAM Advantage technician-based program, is offering a $5 coupon off a consumer’s next oil change.

Participating FRAM Advantage installers will receive a turn-key kit in the mail with coupons for handing out to customers who get their oil changed with FRAM filters. The consumer simply sends in their coupon with their proof of oil change purchase to receive a $5 voucher off their next FRAM oil and filter change at the outlet that provided them with the coupon.

“As we continue to expand and evolve the FRAM Advantage program, this is just one of the many easy-to-execute incentives we will be offering our members,” said Kenny Cameron, channel marketing manager, FRAM Filtration. “Our mission is to help the repair shop customer build loyalty among their customer base.”

The $5 off incentive program launched at the beginning of 2010 and will expire on June 30, 2010. The $5 off voucher will be valid for oil changes using FRAM filters until April 15, 2011.

FRAM Advantage launched at the beginning of 2009 and has since added hundreds of members. Entitlements include access to the FRAM Advantage website (www.framadvantage.com), which offers training modules and pertinent technical information relative to oil and air filter installations.

The brand provides a full slate of oil filtration products, and makes it easy for shops to choose what’s best for their customers with its Engine Protection ratings system. For instance, the FRAM® Extra Guard® oil filter offers three times the Engine Protection of the leading economy filters’ average. (Based on Honeywell testing of filter efficiency and capacity of 3 equivalent filter models under ISO 4548-12. Engine Protection is the FRAM measure of a filter’s ability to not just trap dirt but hold it for the life of the filter.) The FRAM Xtended Guard oil filter is meant for use with synthetic motor oil and can go as many as 10,000 miles between oil changes under normal driving conditions. The product offers longer intervals for consumers, but potentially better profit margins for shops.

Distributors and shops interested in learning more about the FRAM Advantage program should log on to www.framadvantage.com, contact their local Honeywell CPG sales representative or call (800) 890-2075.
