The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) has joined the thousands of businesses across the nation in establishing a social networking presence on the popular Facebook and Twitter websites.

ASE’s Facebook page features news and information updates about the ASE program, events and news about various ASE activities and outreach efforts. Those with Facebook accounts can become an ASE Fan by searching the keyword ASE Certifications.

The Twitter presence offers brief announcements and other “tweets” about ASE and industry topics to allow ASE to interact, comment and listen to its certified professionals and others. One can follow ASE on Twitter by clicking on this link: http://twitter.com/ASEcerts.

In either case, linking with the ASE pages will allow individuals to receive the latest news, information and commentary in real time. These sites also allow ongoing conversations and other dialog directly with ASE fans, followers and everyone else. In addition, users can benefit from the links established with other automotive-related companies, websites, organizations and consumers who regularly participate in these online communities.

Incorporated on June 12, 1972, the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence was established as a non-profit organization to help improve the quality of automotive service and repair through the voluntary testing and certification of automotive technicians and parts specialists. Today, there are nearly 400,000 ASE-certified professionals who work in dealerships, independent shops, service stations, collision repair shops, auto parts stores, fleets, machine shops, schools and colleges throughout the country.
