The Automotive Service Association (ASA) has announced its 2008 annual convention will be held May 1-3 at the Hyatt Regency in Santa Clara, CA. All members are encouraged to attend the event, which will consist of numerous association business meetings.
The agenda will include the ASA board of directors meeting; a State of the Association address by Ron Pyle, ASA president and chief staff executive; an affiliate assembly meeting and ASA’s annual Celebration of Excellence awards ceremony. Celebration of Excellence will again host the Automotive Management Institute (AMI) graduation ceremony.
“We could not have been more pleased with the success of last year’s convention,” said Pyle. “We’re putting together a package of events that will offer attendees the camaraderie and enthusiasm they’ve come to expect from ASA. Attendees can speak to various ASA benefit providers, re-energize their business and its employees and have a great time while they do it.”
Still in the planning stages, the ASA convention promises an education- and activity-packed agenda. A full schedule of business meetings and association forums will be offered along with optional activities, providing for some downtime and an opportunity for family members and employees to enjoy the area when not participating in business meetings. Attendees will also get an opportunity to learn about the many member benefit programs available to them.
“The reason I enjoyed the 2007 ASA Annual Convention was the opportunity to discuss important issues and share ideas with some of the best automotive minds in the industry. All indications are that this year’s event will be even better. It is a chance to clear your mind of the pressures of everyday life and focus on long-term plans that will benefit your business and the industry,” said Aaron Clements, AAM, ASA chairman and owner of C&C Automotive, Augusta, Ga. “Help yourself, your company and the industry by attending this truly educational and fun event. I hope to see you there.”
