AAPEX 2010 to Feature Engine Rebuild Demo Area

This new section on the show floor will feature live engine rebuilding demonstrations by Hendrick Motorsports technicians, as well as information on the benefits of repowered engines

An engine repower demonstration area sponsored by the Engine Repower Council (ERC) and MAHLE Clevite Inc. will be a new feature at this year’s Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX). This new section on the show floor will feature live engine rebuilding demonstrations by Hendrick Motorsports technicians, as well as information on the benefits of repowered engines.

Demonstrations will occur twice daily, at 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 2-4.

“We are very excited to have the opportunity to highlight the benefits of repowering engines at an arena like AAPEX,” said ERC Chairman Ken Carter, MAHLE Clevite Inc. “With the help of Hendrick Motorsports and MAHLE Clevite Inc., we hope to educate more people about the economic and environmental benefits of remanufactured/rebuilt engines while performing an entertaining and informative engine rebuild right on the show floor.”

The Engine Repower Council, a segment of the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA), is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating consumers about the economic and environmental benefits of remanufactured/rebuilt engines.
