16 Companies are Presented with TechShop Top 5 Tools Award

In each issue of TechShop, technicians and repair shop owners have the opportunity to identify their Top 5 Favorite Tools and submit the information. The technicians frequently choose the most-used and most useful products in their toolbox. Award winners are determined based on the number of times a company or product was mentioned by shop owners and technicians in the past six issues of TechShop in the Top 5 Tools section.

TechShop – Equipment , Tools & Supplies magazine recently awarded 16 companies with the magazine’s second annual Top 5 Tools Award.

In each issue of TechShop, technicians and repair shop owners have the opportunity to identify their Top 5 Favorite Tools and submit the information. The technicians frequently choose the most-used and most useful products in their toolbox. Award winners are determined based on the number of times a company or product was mentioned by shop owners and technicians in the past six issues of TechShop in the Top 5 Tools section.

“The Top 5 Tools Award recognizes companies that exhibit exceptional brand strength, technological leadership and product innovation,” said Publisher Jeff Stankard. “It is the only true equipment and tool award based on end-users experiences with these products. These results are drawn from our reader base of more than 110,000 shop owners and technicians.”

2006 Top 5 Tools Award Winners include: ALLDATA, Fluke, iATN, Ingersoll-Rand, Mac Tools, Makita, Matco Tools, Mitchell 1, OTC, Power Probe, Raytek, Rotary Lift, RTI Technologies, Snap-on Diagnostics, Snap-on Tools and Vetronix. The awards for 2006 were announced in the October issue of TechShop. Each award winner was presented with a unique Top 5 Tools plaque.

TechShop – Equipment, Tools & Supplies is the primary source for automotive technicians and repair shop owners who want the latest information on shop equipment, tools and supplies. It is published six times each year and is distributed as a supplement to Babcox’s Brake & Front End, ImportCar and Underhood Service magazines.
