Looking for Contributing Writers for
Underhood Service

Throughout the year, Underhood Service accepts technical and management features or columns from new contributing writers. We feel that sharing industry information with other independent technicians is a great way to continue to improve our industry.

It should be noted that all contributions to the print version of Underhood Service are subject to publication on Underhood Service's web site. Published material becomes the exclusive right of Underhood Service and Babcox.

Technical Articles
Each month, Underhood Service provides diagnostic features on engine, A/C, electrical, cooling and transmission systems. Articles should provide information on problem-solving techniques. We do not accept articles that are a promotional piece for specific products or services.
Technical articles should be no less than 1,200 words. Most are about 2,000 words.
Art (line art, graphs, charts, photographs, slides or digital images) should accompany the article. Preferred formats for electronic tiff files is 300 dpi.
Text can be submitted via e-mail or on a Macintosh-formatted disk (floppy, Jaz or Zip). We request that electronic submissions also be accompanied by a hard copy.

Prior to publication, we may ask to see other articles you have written.
Payment for articles is paid upon publication. Pay scale is normally based on experience.
