The fire at Fremont Automotive Service in Minneapolis, MN, on January 6, started when a vehicle that was being serviced exploded.

An explosion and fire has destroyed a north Minneapolis automotive service building.
The fire was reported about 10:30 a.m. at Fremont Automotive Service, 4053 Fremont Ave. N. The roof of the building has since collapsed.
The fire started when the owner of the service was working on a car and it exploded. He was able to escape and was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center as a precaution.
