CARDONE Partners With Automotive Restoration Nonprofit To Build First E85 Dual-Fuel ’66 Chevelle

Through May 31, 2018, automotive technicians, DIYers and car enthusiasts have the opportunity to enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win the car.

CARDONE Industries, a leader in the automotive aftermarket, has partnered with Swag Custom Rides to fully restore and reimagine a classic ’66 Chevy Chevelle, creating the first “eco-friendly muscle car” that runs on E85 ethanol and gas.

In a demonstration of creativity and innovative engineering, the restored Chevelle’s dual-fuel engine allows the driver to toggle between ethanol and gas on the fly with the flip of a switch. Sporting a 600hp 383 stroker engine and custom throttle body, CARDONE and Swag Rides’ Chevelle maintains the power and performance that drivers expect from a classic American muscle car. Swag Rides had full control of the design and build of the vehicle, with CARDONE’s vision guiding them.

“Swag Rides’ passion for bringing this unique vehicle build to life has been inspiring for everyone involved,” said Stan Gowisnock, CARDONE CEO. “Partnerships with talented teams like Swag Rides are key for us to continue to innovate and evolve the automotive industry.”

CARDONE says it was drawn to Swag Rides because of the high-quality vehicles they produce as well as their unique approach to restoring cars, Gowisnock added. As the nation’s first and only nonprofit custom auto restoration shop, Swag Rides is dedicated to providing job training and education to individuals who need a second chance.

“I couldn’t pick a better partner than CARDONE, because we share a desire to see individuals have a rewarding and fulfilled life,” said John Muratori, Swag Rides founder and owner. “CARDONE has a passion for giving back to their workers, the stores they work with and their customers.”

CARDONE and Swag Rides will unveil the restored Chevelle for the first time at the 2017 SEMA Show (booth No. 51607) in Las Vegas. Between Sept. 22 and May 31, 2018, automotive technicians, DIYers and car enthusiasts have the opportunity to enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win the car. Full sweepstakes rules and entry requirements are available at cardonehotrodgiveaway.com.

The grand-prize winner will be drawn on or around June 12, 2018, and announced shortly after through the sweepstakes website and CARDONE.com. The grand prize includes the Chevelle, $15,000 and travel accommodations to attend the 2018 Hot August Nights car show in Reno, Nevada, where CARDONE and Swag Rides will officially award the winner.

In addition, in each month leading up to the Grand Prize drawing, a winner will be chosen to receive a custom CARDONE mini-fridge.

Learn more about the partnership with Swag Custom Rides by visiting cardonehotrodgiveaway.com, or stop by CARDONE’s booth (No. 3826) at AAPEX between Oct. 31 and Nov. 2 to enter the sweepstakes.
