Consumers Can Cash in When They Brake with Bendix

August 31, 2010

The Bendix team is bringing back its popular consumer rebate program for the fall but this time, they’ll be mailing consumers a $30 Visa Gift Card when they purchase two sets of qualifying Bendix premium brake pads and shoes.

Between September 1 and October 31, 2010, as part of the “When You Brake with Bendix” promotion, consumers can be rewarded when they purchase premium Bendix brake pads or shoes from participating retailers or repair shops. Consumers simply have to fill out the rebate form, which can also be found online at www.bendixbrakes.com, and mail it in before November 30th with their receipt to receive their Visa Gift Card.

The Bendix brand launched its first “When You Brake with Bendix” consumer rebate program in 2009 to help drive sales for direct customers. Since then, they have continued to enhance the program based on feedback they’ve received. This is the first time they’ve offered Visa Gift Cards. The brand also has counter cards, posters and rebate forms that retailers and shops can use to promote the program.

“This has become a very popular program and we are happy to bring it back again for the fall,” said Jim Kelley, director of sales, North America for Friction Materials LLC. “Not only will it be running during National Car Care Month, we think by changing the reward to Visa Gift Cards, it will be easier for our customers to up-sell motorists on the importance of premium. They are rewarding them with the closest thing to cash.”

Qualifying Bendix premium brake pads and shoes include Bendix CT-3, Bendix CQ, Bendix TitaniuMetallic II, Bendix IQ, Bendix Fleet MetLok, Bendix SUV and Bendix premium, new and relined shoes.

Distributors, retailers and shop customers interested in learning more should contact their Friction Materials sales representative or email bendixmarketing@honeywell.com. Full details and rules on the promotion can be found at www.bendixbrakes.com.
