Tomorrow's Technician magazine will be featuring automotive student
Tyler Saunders on the cover of the February issue.
Tyler is currently a senior at Ellsworth High School in Ellsworth, ME. In his sophomore and junior years, he attended a local technical high school were he excelled in the automotive program.
In his junior year, he was one of two selected to compete in the state Ford/AAA AutoSkills competition.
Tyler and his partner Matthew Gillis won the competition for the state of Maine. The pair was the only juniors at the competition, as well as the only team to finish with a perfect car.
After wining over $60,000 in combined scholarships, they were sent to Dearborn, MI, to compete nationally.
Most recently, Tyler received his acceptance letter to the University of Northwestern Ohio. He will be starting school in August in the High Performance Automotive program.
